Transport & infrastructure

An ever-growing public transport network, the West Midlands has bus, cycle, tram and canal networks – not to mention building HS2, Britain’s new high-speed railway. Birmingham New Street is the busiest UK train station outside of London and nearly every major city in England can be reached within two hours. The Midlands is also at the centre of motorway connections, with the M6, M5, M42 and M40 all being easily accessible.

Relocating

We want to engage with qualified and experienced child social care workers from other regions – we need you to help shape the future of children in the West Midlands.

We know if you are relocating to the region, it can be difficult to know where to start in finding a home. Councils and Trusts across the region provide a variety of different packages and level of support to make the transition as easy as possible for you and you may well be eligible for relocation support.
